How Do Your Create Image Links In Your Blog Posts?

This is a commonly asked question, with a very simple answer. You create image links the same way you create text links. Simply select the image, then click on the chain icon in the menu bar. Input the url you wish to link to and you're done.

Here is an image that is not linked.

This is a graphic with no link.

This is a graphic that IS linked.

And here is the video that show how I did it.

Hi Jeff,

That was very clear!  If you are getting both of these items from your browser, when would you use one over the other?

Jeff - Of course I know how to link graphics but wanted to mention that I thought your opening to the video was great. Love how all the AR members drop down - very cool!

Hello Jeff!

I had no clue how to link Text or a graphic...thanks.  I tried earlier tonight to add a link and could not do it!  But, now I can do both!  Thank you so much...looking forward to watching the rest of your blogs.

Jeff, Question for you.

When you are adding a link to your comment, is it better to select opening the page inside or outside the page?  Did I ask that right?

Thanks!

Moriah, my opinion is that if you are linking internally, from your site to your site, it doesn't matter which you choose. But if you are linking to a blog or website outside of the one you are creating the link in, then opening in a new page is best. That way, when the user closes the window they are still on your site.

Hey Jeff!

Oh, okay.  I will need to actually test it and then see how each one works. Maybe this will help someone else? This is what it would look like.

Does not open in a new page

One my way to more of your training...Thank you for your prompt reply to my question!

Not sure if I did something wrong....they both look like they opened the same way here.

Trying this one again to see if I did  it wrong.

Does not open in a new page

I know I did this one right above, let's see what happens.

Okay, I finally get it.  But, I just learned something new.  When I come to AR I must Login First.  Because I did not login first the above posts are not able to be editted by me.  The link above shows how the link does not open in a new page but it does not go anywhere because I pasted the link incorrectly.  Now that I could see what was happening...I understand.

Live and Learn, They say, right!

Jeff -- What technology did you use to actually create the video? to capture the screen shot tutorials?  I've seen some use Adobe Presenter or Captivate.  Very cool.
