A month ago I found out that I needed surgery! I was told that I had a non-cancerous tumor. Never having surgery before and always being very healthy, this was a shocking and frightful experience for me. I toughened up and walked in with my head held high on the day of surgery. Minutes after the surgery "still very out of it", I found out that the tumor was much more wide spread and that it was cancer! Later that evening when I was able to comprehend my surrounding I was told that I had to have a complete hysterectomy but the doctor was very positive that she was able to remove the entire mass. I'm off to have a few kemo treatments for precautions and the outlook is very bright. During this entire experience I never became emotional until I started receiving calls, visits, letters and e-mails from all my friends, family and strangers who wanted to help me in anyway they could. Realizing that so many people are in your corner rooting for you is such a powerful feeling. I want to say thanks to everyone who kept me in their prayers and stood by me then and still today. Thank you so very much! From this experience I plan to take more time out for my family and friends and Cherish each moment with more enthusiasm and faith.
