There Is Always Something To Do!

The Culture and Arts in the city are incredible and there are two events coming soon, one is scheduled for this upcoming week-end.

    ~The Second Annual Museum Mile~ Charlotte museum mile
              April 21, 2012
This is a great event that encourages both health and fitness, a one mile running race(or you can walk or dance) in uptown Charlotte to determine the Fastest Man and Woman in Charlotte.

The one mile begins near the corner of 11th Street and North Tryon St. the one mile separates the McColl Center for Visual Arts and the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art at Levine Center for the Arts.

Runners are separated into different start times based on ability. The Charlotte Museum Mile will benefit the Arts & Science Council. Registration is $25.00, kids 15 and under run free with a paying adult. You can register online at www.charlottemuseummile.com



                                  ~Kings Drive Art Walk ~
 Festival In the Park                  April 28th - April 29th

This a a Spring Fine Arts Event, which will be held along the Sugar Creek Greenway - a newly reclaimed natural waterway between East Morehead and Pearl Street Bridge along Kings Drive.

The focus of this event sponsored by the Festival In the Park will
become an annual spring event with the focus on Fine and emerging Artists.

The Sugar Creek Greenway  is a 15 mile greenway bordering along the Little Sugar Creek. The history of Little Sugar Creek mirrors the urbanization of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.

This newly completed greenway is ideal for the walker, jogger, tourist, nature lover, bench sitter, connecting people and neighborhoods in a cultural, historical, social, enviromental, educational and recreational manner.

Here, flowing water is the centerpiece of a beautiful linear park. This event is free and open to the public.
