To comment or not to comment, that is the question. Take care.

Interesting.  I get comments on posts that may be a year old.

So far it's usally members who try to slip links to their web sites on comments to my blog.

Do they think I wouldn't notice???

I comment on old blogs, when I do a search on AR and find what I am looking for I thank the person who wrote the blog, I have left comments on blogs that were about a year old.  I appreciate the help that I receive here on AR.

I sometimes have a difficult time finding blogs that I want to comment on. If they are interesting they usually have 70 comments already and what can you say that is going to add to the topic?

I have had a constant dribble of comments on some and pretty much zero on others. It is difficult to understand. Then you have to beware of the comment on something in the blog that they later regret and remove. Your comment looks inane.  Oh, well, all part of the fun here at AR.

Excuse me for interrupting, "How does one slip in a link to a website on one of Lenn's blogs? I would like to do that...:-) I say what Robert says (another smile). Like, Lorinda, I, too like to visit old blogs. I have a lot of fun doing that when I am doing a search by topic. Its an interesting way to see what has changed since the original posts, too--laws, attitudes, etc. I probably spend too much time re-reading and editing comments--sometimes I have a strange way with words (do to an old brain injury (not kidding). Usually, if someone misunderstands your comment, you can hammer it out together until you reach a professional understanding. Ever so often you may have to resort to private email to get it straight. But, it works and if harmony, good will and understanding results, its worth the effort. Peace, Man. 70's flower child

Andrew, it's a divine mystery.  That's what the nuns used to tell us when they really meant "I dunno"

And all the children said "amen"...everything happened right on time and with casual speed.  I knew others would feel the same way.   Probably alot of response intially comes with timing and other blogs that day competing for air time.  I agree that digging into blogs a year ago is like finding a chocolate that has a cherry inside!
