Free Household Document Shredding in Austin Texas
Mark your calendars! ARMA International, Financial Fitness Greater Austin and the City’s Austin Resource Recovery Department are sponsoring a free SHRED DAY on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 8 am to 1:30 pm at the Austin High School Parking lot, 1715 W. Cesar Chavez.
Everyone is concerned with identity theft! We need to carefully dispose of personal records such as credit card statements and checking account records. Now is the time to get your materials ready and take advantage of the free shredding offered. In lieu of a fee, a monetary donation will be accepted for the Capital Area Food Bank ~ a worthy cause!
Households can bring up to five boxes of paper records for shredding. Box size should not be larger than 23” X 24” X 36”. Mobile trucks will be on-site to shred all materials. Please make sure records are paper only (no hard plastic, no plastic bags, electronic data or three-ring binders) and are not wet or moldy.
For more details regarding the free household shredding, email jannette.goodall@austintexas.gov or call 512-974-9045.
As always, Austin events are brought to you as a courtesy by your NW Austin Realtor®, Dorie Dillard Coldwell Banker United.
