But...

It isn't actually Useless....

In 1913 Mortgage Interest became Tax Deductible

The mortgage interest deduction has been a hot topic lately with NAR setting up a rally in DC next month, May 17th to be exact..

Will it go away?

After 100 years, I doubt it....

Will it be a political foot ball?

Of course, that is exactly what politics is all about... tossing the political foot ball and taking credit for catching it.

Fact: Home owners vote, Future home owners Vote. Politicians need our votes to keep them in office, so will they remove a 100yr old tax deduction - one tied to the American dream? Highly unlikely.

So expect some political saber rattling, but at the end of the day we will have the deduction in tact...
