ActiveRain MeetUp was held on Wednesday April 18, 2012 in Houston

 

Eddie V’s which is located at the Beltway 8 and Interstate I-10 (close to West Park Tollway) was the place where we held the ActiveRain (AR) MeetUp in Houston. Just like the last MeetUp we held in Houston back in December 2011 there was only Yolanda Cordova-Gilbert and myself in attendance from AR. One of our friends who had read my blog announcing the MeetUp decided to surprise us and he came to join us. He was afraid we would feel badly if others did not show up. I had several virtual friends who attended in spirit and I want to thank all of those folks for supporting us. I will try to list all of these individuals at the end of this blog. I hope I do not frget to mention someone.

 

Eddie V’s was great that night as I am sure it the same every night. We had some food off the regular menu and it was wonderful. They also have a happy hour most evenings and we easily took advantage of the cheaper drink prices. The happy Hour menu also includes some food items. We stayed way past 7:00 PM as we were all having a good time. The place was packed with customers and considering it was a Wednesday night Eddie V’s is doing very well for itself. Every restaurant in Houston would love to draw a crowd that large on a Wednesday night.  The service was good, the food was excellent and they had a live Jazz start playing at 7:00 PM. Eddie V’s is definitely a do over as we say in our family. Bar at Eddie V's

 

All the folks who live in Houston TX you all missed a good time. This location is very easy to get to and easy to get home and fairly close to Katy TX. If any of you out there who live in this area have any ideas as how we can increase participation in a Houston MeetUp please tell me as I am all ears. (Sorry I cannot afford to pay for everyone’s food and drinks but nice try!)

Bob my friend, I'm glad that you and Yolanda had one of your friends come to enjoy your Meet Up at the mighty fine Eddie V's Wildfish Seafood Grille Restaurant. Eddie V's sure sounds like a Restaurant that folks will want to be sure to go to for an evening out.

Somehow Suzanne McLaughlin knows when there is a party.  She should have brought me, too!  It is amazing that with all the people in Texas, your turnout should be much larger.  Hopefully, you will have more next time.  It sounds as if it was fun anyway!  Have a great week!
