First of all, Michelle Bachmann is my Representative to Congress, so let me apologize to you all for her putting you through that embarrassing and head-scratching campaign for president that she so valorously kept up for far too long.
Tar baby is a phrase that originated in 19th-century Uncle Remus stories in which a character made a doll out of tar and turpentine to entrap his enemy. Although it was once used to describe a "sticky situation," it has long been considered to be a racial slur.
And, that is not the first time she has made a racial blunder. Last summer she signed a marriage pledge that asserted that Black families were stronger during slavery than they are under Obama.
Now, my question is, did she pay any attention in her high school or college courses to either English, literature or history? I could go on about her geographic ineptitude as well, but why bother?
Ms. Bachmann also called the president “infantile” and “irresponsible” in the Shark Tank interview and accused him of caring only about his re-election. Really? When all she cared about was running for President and leaving our district completely without representation in Congress (which was probably a good thing in retrospect, given that she barely knows the language that she was “birthed” to).
I think she ought to look in the mirror before calling ANYONE else infantile and irresponsible.
And, perhaps, Ms. Bachmann, try to find someone to assist you on your staff who actually graduated from high school or a college who can go over your statements before you make a complete 455 out of yourself again.
Redistricting cannot come soon enough for me.
