Missing Picnik?  Try ipiccy for your photo editing (It's FREE)

Many of us were comfortable with the use of Picnik for our easy editing of photographs.  And, we were upset when we received the notice that the Picnik service was being discontinued by Google and incorporated in Google+.  Picnik is now gone.

So, the search began for a replacement for Picnik.  Brad Andersohn recommended ipiccy.com for ActiveRain members and I am now using ipiccy for most of my photo editing.  I recommend the site and suggest it for those that are seeking any easy way to edit their photographs.  By the way, ALL photographs should be edited before placing them on the internet.

You can upload one or more pictures at a time to ipiccy.  I usually upload 30-50 photographs at a time for more efficient use of editing time.  After editing, the edited photographs are on my computer for general use.  I then upload them o Flickr, along with the descriptions.  The next for me is to upload the new photographs to my Facebook albums.

When I use photographs in my ActiveRain blogs, I select the desired photographs and size on Flickr and copy and paste the photographs in the blog.  Now you have my secrets and know that I have thousands of photographs on Facebook and Flickr, all of which can be viewed by the public.

Give ipiccy.com a try.  I think you will like this free service.

Thanks for the information, Roy. I will check it out.

I love the columbine picture. This is my favorite flower. I will have to take some pictures of my lilacs when they bloom, and share them with you. I have all colors...yellow, pink, wine red, two tone, blue and of course the standard lilac color.

Hi Roy, Thanks for bringing ipiccy to many more members. It is a great little program that covers all the basics and some advanced adjustments too. It is actually awesome for the price. :-) Thanks again.

Good morning to all.  I always appreciate your comments.  Have a great day and an outstanding week, with your camera in hand.

If the flowers are beyond their prime, have some fun with the colors as you edit on ipiccy.com.

From the first time I used ipiccy, I was pleasantly surprised at the similarities it had to Picnik.  I understand another application, ribbet, is coming soon.  It will be interesting to see the functionality it presents.

Thanks so much for your comments.  Better photographs are keys to better impressions on the internet.  Take time to edit ALL of the photographs that you post for others to view.  Since it is free, it should not be difficult for you to try ipiccy.com if you have not purchased photo editing software that you prefer.

Hi Roy, Guess What? Picnik is going to be back except they are changing the name to Ribbit.com. I did a re-blog from Brad Andershon.

William:  It is good to know that Ribbit.com will be available soon.  However, ipiccy.com is available to edit photographs today and the quality of the results appears to be better than Picnik.

Hi Roy,

when I found out picnik was leaving I started using ipiccy just to start getting use to it.  This way, if I got to a point where I was stuck, I could fall back on picnik until I figured it out.  I have found ipiccy to be very user friendly.
