I love Donald Trump... and Kevin

I thought I was already immune to all these Real Estate seminars, but when I received invitations from Donald Trump, my heart melted, and me and my wife signed up for this FREE seminar. We've followed the apprentice for 2 seasons, so we were curious who he would fire this time. Actually, he fired all of us. He wasn't there, but you underestimate Mr. Trump if you think that this is a deterrent. He was omnipresent, shining on the screen, sharing trivia with his usual envious confidence.

The presenter did exceedingly well intriguing you and giving you nothing. Sort of like showing a carrot, but not just a carrot, but a carrot is from Mr. Trump, and you know that if he gives you this carrot, this carrot is a road to your financial independence. A lot of people liked carrot, it is good for your health, but was heavy on the wallet, so they walked out with a lighter wallet and a carrot in sight. Hypnotized and paralyzed, we did the same.

Next step was another seminar, where the instructors were in 3 days to teach us everything we needed to know to really "think like Donald". Everyone is hyped and ready to rumble... us included.

Two weeks later we are in Orlando. 70 or so students, the instructor is a skilled and energetic lady. The schedule is quite impressive, we should learn a lot. There are quite a few Realtors in the room, but, obviously, not enough to warrant any respect, even though the presenter is a Broker. It is sort of in the area that there are some decent Realtors out there, but the public is not promised a chance of running into one of those.

We actually like the first day.

The second day should be ten times tougher. First 30 minutes we learn which TV shows are our presenter's favourite, next 30 minutes we learn some culinary stuff, then shopping ... The guy next to me, a broker from Orlando, wants to kill the presenter. Strange, he looks like a gentleman. He does not care about the Presenter's tastes. I do not care either. So, I am considering becoming an accomplice.

Then we find out that the next part would be a presentation of the software, without which you just can't do a giggly squat with foreclosures. This software is a separate item and you need to pay for that, then another guy would present Mentoring, where they come to you and walk you through the whole process... for a hefty part of your profit (do not know the details). Ouch, so we paid $1,500 to get to a sales presentation? Wow, that's thinking like Donald? That's darn smart, to bring us here for $1,500, and then triple it with software, and the mentoring. He's smart. If he would tell me that he wanted to get my $4,500 or so, he knew I would run like a rabbit. After making billions of dollars on all the great things there, now he knows how to get my $4,500. That's a damn screwed, sorry, shrewed marketing...

15 minutes later we returned the materials, and get them to sign our voucher, so that we get out money back.

Now we love Donald even more. He got us out of our daily routine. Because of him we had a romantic dinner. And we really brainstormed a few good ideas. And we got our money back.

But for that I love Kevin. He showed me how to get your money back even from Donald Trump. Who does not give anything back. Because he is Donald Trump. But Kevin is a smart Orlando broker. Why people do not believe Realtors can save them money? He saved me money. He beat Donald.

It seems like all those seminars are scams - it is a shame. Glad it worked out ok.

It's tough sometimes to get the real value out of those "free" seminars...I agree, I'm jaded on spending my time (never mind my money!) to get PITCHED!  I would have had a tough time saying no to Trump, myself: I tried out for the Apprentice a few years ago.

You only need to walk away with one idea from any seminar and it makes it well worth it, free or not.

Michael - I would not be surprised that his ex wives hate him. Ex wives usually hate. I think they should love him. Where else can you get millions of dollars for making a mistake? A lot of women get nothing. They actually suffer for the mistake they made.

Matt - I had good time, took my wife out for a nice romantic dinner, got a powerful dynamic presentation, which forced us to brainstorm, learned to catch the hidden agenda, followed a great guy and GOT MONEY BACK FROM DONALD.

Of course, I love him.

Kevin - They are skillfully crafted marketing tools, which are designed to interest you as you go, making it look like all you need is to make one step, and after you do it, there is another step, and then you already have spent some time and effort, so what the heck, just one last time.

GO to Disney, the rides that attract a lot of people are designed the same way. You never see the whole line. You see a line, but you think that right after the turn is the beginning of the ride. By the time you spend 20 minutes and get to that turn, all you see is another stretch of line with another turn there, and you hope that it should be right there. You do not know how many turns are there, but if you did, you would not get in line in the first place.

What can be said about the Donald that hasn't been said before.  Probably not much.  Even if you can't stand him, you have to give him credit for perseverance.  That could be a lesson for all of us.

Carol - Trying to get on Apprentice? That's interesting. I did not like the idea too much, as it was a miss. Putting together a team, who work against each other. The best team player would be the one, who would dissolve in others, and that was a killing proposition for survival.

Good luck

Mark -  Of course, they do. What actually surprised me was that even with the name like Trump, and with the activity like they originated, there were not that many people, who would bite the bait.

Steve - thanks for visiting. With your positive attitude you would get that at least one good idea at any seminar. Good luck.

Jesse & Kathy -  That's the type of comment I was waiting for. Absolutely. Why on earth we have this strange small dog syndrome? (you know, all small dogs are barking at big dogs). Isn't it same with us? You gotta give credit to the guy for everything he does.

I guess that that's exactly why we do not like him: he lives the life the way we would love to live.

At least we need to be fair. And you are.

Thank you

Ouch!

I was sitting next to a Orlando broker, we both figured that we were fooled. I thought that I couldn't do anything, but Kevin went to one of guys running the show and told him this was not for him. He did not need the crap. He would return them the materials (that would be a requirement), and he got them give him the name of authorizing person, and the number for the people who would return the money.

I did the same, called the number, gave all they wanted, and after a week or so, the money were back in my account.

If you haven't started, I think you can simply cancel. If not, go and then protest when they start going crazy with their sales pitch.

If you want, call me 386-405-4408

Wishing you good luck

You guys are a bunch of spray tan monkeys.  Why would you want to be like Donald Trump? He is an arrogant, out of touch rich guy who can't stop telling people how much money he has.  What kind of role model is that?  He is a liar and thinks that because he is such a rich prick, that makes him a better candidate for President.  The last thing the poor and middle class want is some guy flaunting his cash around saying how awesome he is.  He doesn't give a rat's ass about the poor or middle class.  I think in the next "I want to be a rich scum bag" seminar you guys go to, you should take with you a cardboard cut out of Trump and sodomize it.

Jim - you made a convenient personal Trump for your own consumption. It has so little to do with real Trump, that the very convenience of it is questionable...

There is one thing that bothers me. I can't stand when I hear that the President will or will not think of poor people. I am coming from the society which for decades was claiming that the only thing they cared were working people.

I already learned that:

1. Whoever claims this is a socialist

2. Whoever expects The President to think about the poor wants socialism, but does know what it is, never lived under.

I did. So, I would rather vote for Trump, who thinks that he is a better CEO than Obama. I think he is. And the ability of making, and not losing money, is what we need at this point the most.
