A model train!

My eldest son called yesterday and said there was a Model Train show in  St.cloud for Sat.  I had the morning free so I said sure.  It isn't a big show, but still fun for a couple of hours.

I had been to the same show about two years ago and was pleasantly surprised that it had grown some.

I took the chance to play with the camera although with all the people around, getting really good shots was hard with getting bumped every few seconds.

I have done some model railroading in the past and it is a lot of work.  Some of these displays have gone all out and they are still able to move them around.

A child's tree house as the train speeds by.

The Granite city train show does a nice job organizing this show.

They run a show every year in April and again in November at the National Guard Post in St. Cloud Mn.

Check the web site at www.granitecitytrainshow.com

Booths for vendor are sold out fast so reserve yours for November.

They even had some hands on play areas for the little kids.

Don't miss it next year!

Bill, among the many lives you have had....and you have had more than most...I think photographer is lurking in your future.  Those are some great shots with your new camera.  And, I am very glad that no one in our household knew about this show today.  I was frantic all morning and afternoon with showings, and I couldn't have gotten anything done trying to get Himself out the door to this, too!

But, thanks for taking us there!

Years ago I had  a listing that included the train set up in the basement.  I should add that it took up 1/2 of the basement and I think the seller just didn't want to dismantle it.

I enjoy the hobby.  Selling them in my retail store, I was able to play a fair amount.  Right now, no place and no time.
