Celebrate Earth Day 2012

CELEBRATE EARTH DAY 2012

It's Sunday. I'm wrapping up my morning social media coffee time so I can get ready for church. I am thinking about the relationship between earth and God. I don't believe in Mother Nature, I believe in God the Father, creator of the universe who granted us stewardship over the earth. You may too, or not, but in either case, bad stewardship may have been the contributor to the end of many great civilizations. Quite frankly, that's the driving force in my green commitment.

Hi Cathy - You have done a great job featuring Earth Day in your posts over the last couple of weeks. It has always been an important day for me - I was part of the original one in 1970 - and its importance has only grown over the years.

Cathy - a 6 word micro essay?  OMG - that sounds really tough.  I'm glad you and so many people have written about this great Earth Day/Earth Week event.  Hopefully, we'll all pick up one more good habit which we can maintain forever.  Small things do add up.
