Yesterday was the first 80 degree day in the Portland area and it made for a great morning of baseball, but then as soon as we were done there, it was time to head to the coast! WHY? Because we had to take my daughter to Newport for a Girl Scout event and we thought we would make a night of it.
So, the first thing I did was look up my Activerain friend Barbara Le Pine of Newport, Oregon and make an Activerain meet-up out of it. But, much to my surprise, she was playing with her Big Band that night at the Newport Middle School for a fundraiser for the High School Jazz band.
OK, for those of you who know me, know I love big band and would never miss an opportunity like this. So, we took the kids to the concert and it was so much fun and my youngest daughter even got me to dance with her, but also got me to dance with my wife for the first time since our wedding. (At 7, she is pretty persuasive)
Here is a video of Barbara on the Xylophone and I have to say she is a darn dedicated agent who was almost late to the concert because she was writing a last minute offer. But, she made it and I’m glad she did because it was a lot of fun. The best part of the night for me was hearing my son tell my wife as we leave “Mom, you know, I really love that music, can we download some of it on to my MP3 player?”
So, if you are in Newport and want a great real estate agent or you are looking for a night of good music and fun make sure you look up Barbara Le Pine on both counts, because she can deliver on both.
