City & State: Listings and Market Reports

POSTING GUIDELINES & CONCEPT

FORMAT: To post to this group you SHOULD start your title with the City, County, or Region, then the State (abbreviated, i.e. NC). Then add the remaining caption/title after that to complete the title.

CITY or AREA, STATE: TITLE

Examples:

Asheville, NC: The Paris of the South - Market Report for Dec 2012

or

Buncombe County, NC: 11.70 Beautiful Acres with 3 bed/2 bath home $499,000.

You may put the address in the Title, but it must go after CITY, STATE:

Only listings (Realtor/MLS) and market condition reports will be accepted.

Failure to follow this format will result in the removal of the post.

Make the posts as creative as you wish to show off your listing and to inform the reader of your market conditions. You can also use hyper-links to external websites and virtual tours.

By consistently doing this, your City and State location will begin to show up in searches on Internet search engines. You may include the address, if you wish, but after the City and State:.

Be sure to keep your listings up to date and edit them as necessary for price and status of the listing.

NO rants, personal promotions (other than your listings), greetings, area events, or personal thoughts about something other than your listings or market reports and updates.

The concept of posting to this group is to identify your location by City and State and the listings you want the marketplace to know about, as well as market reports to keep the consumer, other brokers and referring members educated about your specific market conditions.

CITY, STATE: TITLE

The key is to be consistent, especially with your market reports.

I have found that consumers aren't searching by street address here at AR because they can get that through any Broker reciprocity web site or Realtor.com, but prefer to search by area, specifically City and State. Then they can use the address you give in the listing to consider your offering.

This may not be the group to expect a large number of comments, but it will hopefully become the place AR members and the public will come to learn about what might be available in your area and that you are the person to contact because you know the market.
