Keep Moving

By

Everything moves, according to plan...

An escape from the busy life to the warm sandy beach is always refreshing. It's easy to feel like your drowning when things seem overwhelming. When things get tough, keep moving - go with the flow!  Challenges are the rhythm of life. The sand along the shoreline is a gentle reminder that no matter how deep problems may seem, as humans we are well equipped to smooth out the rough times. We can find harmony and balance in nature. Our own bodies are comprised mainly of water - water is energizing! Finding that power within is the greatest source of strength.

History has taught me that ancient predecessors believed the world was flat, while others just went the distance - courageously they sailed through rough waters and they never gave up. We will never know the names of the vast majority of people who thought the world was flat. Ironically, we do know the names of the people who took risks. Heroes and risk takers change the course of history. Their names are written in the pages of history.

The beach is a great place to reflect on unlimited potential. With the wind in my hair, the sand under my feet, and the taste of the ocean, I embrace the power of the challenges and ride the waves courageously. I believe in myself when others do not. I set my own sails. I am, I am the captain of my ship.

Life contains infinite possibilities. It is written in the stars. Clouds can be helpful because for me, they redirect my focus. I've lived long enough to know, change can happen in an instant and dark clouds don't last forever. Cumulus clouds frees my imagination. I love that they always keep moving!

A trip to the beach gives me a break, a pause, a moment to let the rest of the world go by...

James,

You're a gem in the Rain. You teach us words and our minds explore new ways to utilize our brain. I look forward to your posts too. Just like the beach is often filled with unique shells, together we find solace in ways to connect.

The beach is a place to find spiritual renewal.

David,

The beach is an excellent place to hang out because you don't have to get all dressed up, where name tags, or uncomfortable shoes. Everything on the beach is perfect, just the way it is. Thanks for the reminder about getting your supply of Vitamin D. YES! A trip to the beach is affordable, and necessary to sustain quality life!

You are an inspiration!

Erv,

A dolphin playing at your homefront? How cool is that???

I remember my first trip to the beach WITH A CELL PHONE - that did not work. Mother Nature taught me that sand does terrible things to technology. You have found a way to live and work on the beach. Now that's an inspiration and worth any amount of perspiration under the sun.

So when are you inviting all of us over for a weekend visit?

All of us should appreciate the blessings of every moment.  We lived on the oceanfront for many years and I loved every walk along the beach.

Thanks for your photograph.  Give ipiccy.com a try for your photo editing.

Patricia - There is one caveat to your belief that everything moves as planned.  When you get older, a whole lot of fiber is often required:-)

Hi Patricia, I grew up on Long Island surrounded by beaches and water, so love it. Sitting on the beach watching the ebb and flow of the water is soothing to ones soul. Similar, but ever changing and always moving. Love your beach!

Our Santa Fe landscape was covered by the ocean eons ago. Every now and then, my walks in the arroyos in the Pecos area canyon will put me face to face with a fossil of a water creature gone but not forgotten in stone. Our mountains are my ocean. Thanks for making me see them differently.

Hi Patricia,

The picture is lovely as the beach is my favorite place to go visit and take my birdie pictures. I love the sounds, the smells and the sites there. Plus it is always fun to just walk around the cities and have a cafe lunch somewhere. Always a delightful place to visit on the weekends.
