Summer Camps for Kids in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara is a great local for parents due to the wide variety of summer camps for kids. There are a plethora of options available to suit any child's interest.

                There are plenty of summer camps in Santa Barbara for active minded kids. For example, the Montecito YMCA Summer Day Camp offers one or two week sessions for kids and is full of fun activities that includes beach visits, sports, and bowling. In addition, the UCSB Summer Day Camp has several different camps with activities that include basketball, volleyball, and surfing and kayaking. Another option for adventurous kids is Camp Rad, a downtown day camp which offers surfing, archery, and Laser Tag as activities.

                There are also plenty of summer camps for kids in Santa Barbara who are more interested in the arts. The S.B. Channels Video Camp 2010 (571-1721 x120) is a summer camps that focuses on producing video. It offers two sessions, one that focuses on field production of video, and the second which is on studio production. Another option is the Performing and Visual Arts Camp, which allows kids to focus on the arts. Children in this program sing, dance, and perform.

                Finally, there are many summer camps in the Santa Barbara area for kids who would rather focus on academics. Camp Millionaire is a summer camp that helps kids understand how to responsibly manage their own money.  It prepares them for life in the real world with practical lessons on money management techniques.  In addition the Math Camp at S.B. Family School offers kids interested in math a chance to have something fun for the summer. There are several different sessions throughout the summer which include using math to perform magic and the art of math.

                In Santa Barbara, there are a wide variety of summer camps for kids, which is a great boon for parents looking for something to enrich their children during the summer.   UC Santa Barbara Tech Camps are also an excellent choice!
