Peonies are blooming at the U.S. National Arboretum
On Friday, Dolores and I spent much of the day at the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington, DC. Azaleas were still blooming and the weather was beautiful. The National Arboretum is one of our favorite places to visit in the District.
We also checked to see if the peonies were blooming and were in luck to find many blooms. It is still a bit early for the peonies in the area but the plants were loaded with buds that will be blooming soon.
Be sure to visit the National Arboretum with you are in the area. And, be sure to have your camera in hand. By the way, if you take a short hike to the highest elevation at the Arboretum, you can get a view of the Capitol Dome in the distance.
