Great yoga in Normal Heights, San Diego. I am going to sleep great tonight! I just got home from one of the best yoga a classes I have been to in a long time. I live in the Talmadge neighborhood of San Diego, but I like to go to a yoga studio in Normal Heights, Pilgrimage of the Heart.
It is about a 3 mile bike ride for me, but it is a very smooth ride with very little traffic. I went to the 7:30pm Hot Yoga, the teacher was Rachel Labarre, one of my favorites! All of the yoga teachers at Pilgrimage are great, but I like the flow and enthusiasm that Rachel brings to the class.
I have been doing yoga at Pilgrimage of the Heart in Normal Heights San Diego for almost a year. At first I started going because it is the best value for yoga in San Diego - $65 a month gets you unlimited yoga! Everyone knows that's a great deal, so I thought I would try it out. I was initially surprised that there was no set routine like at other studios I had attended. Each teacher is allowed the freedom to teach their class the way they want. That was a little unsettling at first, I missed being able to just let my mind go and not have to think about what came next. But in time I realized that there is a difference between letting go and being mindful. Both have their place.
So I have come to look forward to an evening bike ride, yoga, and then a relaxing ride back home. If your in the area, I would check out this great yoga studio, in a great neighborhood of San Diego.
And if you are not into yoga, Adams Ave has some of the best foods, coffee cafes and just about anything else you might want.
I'm off to dreamland after another great yoga class!
