Let's say you receive an email with this information in the signature file:

Linda Somebody
XYZ Lending
1234 Executive Park Drive
Atlanta, GA 30999
770 555 1212 phone
770 555 1212 fax
linda@xyzlending.com

You'd like to get Linda's contact information into Microsoft Outlook. To do this, you would have to copy and paste each item.

I found a software application that makes it so much easier. With it, all you do is highlight Linda's contact information and click a couple of keys. The software will (1) open Outlook, (2) create a new contact for Linda, and (3) place all her contact information in the appropriate fields.
In addition to Outlook, it also works with Salesforce, Palm, Netsuite, Jigsaw, and Tablet PC.

I love this software and thought I'd share it with you. Feel free to try it free, and let me know how it works.

Hey, that's cool! Thanks for sharing the info... Have you tried it yet?

Lindsey - Thanks for commenting. I've used it for years. It's on all of my computers and it is one of my favorite tools of all time!  You can also copy and paste event details directly into the Outlook contacts.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Jackie, what a cool tool - for a long time I thought "there should be a better way to do this" and you've shown me there is! I've already downloaded the program, now I'm off to give it a try!

I am going to try this tomorrow. What a time saver. I try my best to add new contacts as they arrive, but sometime I postpone because of time constraints. I end up printing out the email for future addition, but sometimes it gets done and osmetimes it doesn't, then I end up looking all over the place for a new number or email or address. This will be great!

I like this Jacki and thanks you for this valuable resource. You get a Star! By the Way,I purchased a program called  NEO, the  Pro version and if want the ability to search easily  for anything related to e-mail, try this. It is awesome and has saved me a lot of time looking for things. I will do a post on this one day soon and hopefully everyone can enjoy it, as they also have a free version.

I have been using   to handle the task of importing contact data into my email client & database.  Although eGrabber is NOT free, it is nominal in cost and it works well!

William - thanks for the tip about NEO. I looked at the website, and it does look awesome. What I really like is the ability to store the email in several (virtual) folders.

Art - Thanks for the tips about eGrabber. I took a look at the website. Do you use the email Grabber? It appears as if it costs > $700. Is that correct?

Jackie...

I paid $69.95 for Address Grabber Standard 5.0.  I have to say that I love not having to retype contact data!!
