Winter has just started  - and we are buried under 4 feet of snow!

White is beautiful - but this is just too much of a good thing!

fire and wine

Perhaps a glass of red wine and a fire?

OK.  Four feet of snow?  Maybe I shouldn't complain about our approx 12 inches total this year (in MN).

Thanks for putting it into perspective for me!

Kristina!  Ok - maybe it was just 3-1/2 feet!  12 inches sounds great - how is your ice (ugh)  factor?

Whoa Margaret, 4 feet of snow?  I found color today when I went outside to mow the lawn :-)  Our "winter" plants are in full bloom here in FL.

Snow yuck..I found color today watching my grandson. We played Candy Land, remember that, it teaches kids about colors, it was great fun!

I found color in my Christmas tree...which I will really hate to take down in a few days. I think this year's tree is the prettiest I have ever had! We have about a foot of snow here, and it's lovely to look at, but nasty to drive in!!! I'm glad I took the week off to catch up on office work!!!

Margaret Ann ~ But the snowy picture looks so pretty! At this time of year, I go for the fireplace picture.  I tend to like the deeper, darker colors right now.

I found soft beautiful color today in the news that my Mom doesn't have to have open heart surgery! She still needs  to have a procedure done but much less invasive than what could have been! Thanks for letting me share this good news.

Terry - Love Florida - Have you been to the Bubble on Captiva?  Love those palm trees - Enjoy the sun for us!

Phyllis - You are too young to have a grandson!  Candy Land - gum drops and the molasses swamp!  Sherwin Williams has colors cross-referenced to games by Milton Bradley - and Candy Land is one of them!

Elaine - We are taking our tree down tomorrow!  Driving is awful!  Thank God for 4 wheel drive SUVs!  Thanks for dropping by!

Kathy - Color choices change dramatically with the seasons - and the emotions linked to each color are very revealing!  Thank you Kathy!

Hi Kathy - I wrote this blog interested in where we find color in our lives and the most intesting result has been how we find color through our relationships!  Twin grandbabies!  What a wonderful way to start the new year!  Thank you for your comment!

It was 77degrees in Houston yesterday, hate to rub that in...but I went to my backyard, and had the two most beautiful lemons ready to be pulled from my lemon tree.  They smelled sooo good!  Brought a little sunshine to the kitchen.

Love you post!  I am also from an area where we are blanketed with snow.  The sun finally came out today and now you can really appreciate it.

I found color in a supportive email from a friend!  We need to remember to be there for one another.

I love color.  I really didn't realize how much until I started staging vacant properties and had to think hard how to bring color in when its bland, how to make color give warmth when the house looks cold, how to make color make the potential buyer feel it could be their home...

Now I surround myself with color, hues of orange, rust, cinnamon, terra cotta, green, blue-green, olive, lime, red, rose, ruby...

Oh and I am a colorful personality too!

Cindy - Lemons are my favorite in color and scent!  Bringing fruit into a room is also part of honoring the home and family - great feng shui!   77 degrees is so not fair!  We got snow yesterday - again and again!

Kimberly - The sun on the snow is really beautiful (hate to admit that - lol)  and as the days get longer it seems to get prettier!  Thank you for stopping by!

Kim - Support comes from surprising places sometimes - Stage It Forward is such a positive and authentic resource for all of us.  Kim, thank you for stopping by.

Renee - You would love the Dewey Colors:  Magenta, Teal, Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Yellow, Purple, gold, indigo, red-orange and lime green!  Love it!    Go Girl!
