I'm Not To Blame
It hasn't been easy, this I know,
These difficult times that don't want to go,
It really does hurt me so,
All this sorrow and pain that continues to stay,
Leaving our skies stormy and gray,
I wish things were different,
Like those times that were heaven sent,
Loving memories of us, I will never forget,
When the sun shined brightly in that blue sky,
Thinking back just brings tears to these eyes,
Oh, how I wish you could understand,
I did all that I can,
But it's out of my hands,
It wasn't me who did this, cant you see,
I'm not to blame, baby please just listen to me,
I was taught long ago, wrong from right,
To never give up in what i believe, without a fight,
And now it's all out of my sights,
It's tough sitting here in this place,
With this sadness upon my face,
I'm begging you to reconsider,
Don't let your heart stay cold and bitter,
I promise you someday things will be better,
Your love for me is there, somewhere waiting for you to find,
Look deep into your heart, while I'm on your mind,
Oh, how I wish you could understand,
I did all that I can,
But it's out of my hands,
It wasn't me who did this, cant you see,
I'm not to blame, baby please just listen to me.
I will never let you go and you know that to be true,
My heart is still filled with love for you,
I just want to know, do you still love me too,
Yeah, I will wait forever to hear those three little words,
They will light up my whole world,
Oh, how I wish you could understand,
I did all that I can,
But it's out of my hands,
It wasn't me who did this, cant you see,
I'm not to blame, why oh why baby, can't you listen to me.
"Success never happens in a straight line. There is always going to be twists and turns, ups and downs. Just remember that conquering those will make you successful!"
Marey Hoeppner
Marey, yet again, another great poem out of you. Tell me that you are writing a book on these.
