DID YOU KNOW?

Three California laws took effect January 1, 2007 that benefit animals:

1. Dogs cannot be tethered to a stationary object for more than three hours during a 24-hour period.  If tethered, the dog still must have a good range of motion.

2. Pets cannot be left in vehicles in a dangerous situation whether from the heat or the cold.  Animal control officers are now permitted to break into a vehicle to rescue at-risk animals after trying to locate the owner.  Dogs tied in the back of pickups in extreme hot or cold weather are also covered under the new law.

3. Felony-level jail time now applies for animal fighting convictions.

I just never understand why people get animals and then don't take care of them.

You know you are a dog lover when.....

1.  Your kids shout out "no mom, don't do it" when they see a stray dog!

2.  Your husband has to kiss the dog good night before he gets one from you!

3.  There's more kibble in the house then there is junk food!

4.  You buy your dogs more clothes than your kids :-D

5.  Even your neighbors start kidding you about having too many dogs!

Have a great night!

The cat in your picture looks like Zoey the Cool Cat! Has she been out carousing over there in La Quinta?
