Alameda sounds like a wonderful place! Never heard of it before but will have to visit during our next California vacation.

We are an island across the Bay from San Francisco and near Oakland. Some people have described it as a Midwestern town dropped in the bay. We are kinda insular.
Sounds like an interesting and fun time Evelyn. I agree with your assessment of the beautiful Alameda Island.
Evelyn, your brokerage is to be commended for hosting such a wonderful celebration of the arts. I didn't know what plein air painting was - but now I do!

Karen: Apparently, it is a big thing for some painters. There is a plein air painting event every year here which most the artists displayed at our office have participated in. It is so charming to see artists on streets painting beautiful scenes. We have actually purchased a bunch of these paintings. The painting I have captured for this post is ours. We love it and the others painted of our city. Take care and have fun at the Earth Day celebration in Surrey.
