"It doesn't matter what Real Estate agent you use..."

They are all like used car salesmen anyway!

I was having coffee with a past and current client.  WE were talking about the 4th house he was planning to buy.  (His family has also bought 3 houses through me)

"It doen't matter what Real Estate Agent you use...they are all like used car salesmen anyway."

That is the statement made by a guy at a table in this small bakery.  I looked at my client and just smiled.  My client...NOT AMUSED! 

"That guy has NO idea what he is talking about and telling those young guys that it doesn't make a difference."  I moved the conversation back onto our business.

The loud mouth kept talking and my client was getting more agitated.

"Bill, I need a few more cards. I am out."   So I dug out a half dozen and gave them to him.   My client then got up and walked over to the table with the big voice and talked directly to the young guys..."Boys...it does make a difference what Real Estate agent you hire!  This guy (Pointing to the loud guy) does not know what he is talking about.  I have worked with several and (Handing them each one of my cards) this guy I am sitting with is the best I have worked with.  If you are looking to buy or sell...do it wisely and call Bill."

He calmly walked back to our table and we went on with our conversation.  There was a lot less volume at the other table.  It is nice to see that some people still believe in our Professionalism to see the difference.

My client told me after everyone had left..."I gave the young guys your card.  I figure that you can't fix stupid, but you CAN help the ignorant."
