Adding a transcript to your real estate video can add actual SEO juice to your real estate video.  Think of transcripts as another rich source of descriptive text that helps search engines point to your video content.  Our system will correctly embed transcripts in the same language as the video being viewed.

All videos added to http://vidlisting.com/ after today will include embedded transcripts in all supported languages.  Transcripts can even be syndicated along with videos to your own website or other real estate web sites. We are not aware of any other video services that are routinely adding transcript support to uploaded or filmed videos.

Benefits of Including Trancripts With Your Rich Media Content

1) Google and other search engines will index the narration text and bring visitors to your page

2) Visitors that are hearing challenged can follow along with your video

3) Visitors that are visually challenged can use their supporting hardware to read the transcript to them

Can Visitors Follow Along While The Video Is Playing?

Here is what your visitor will see - a very simple [+/-] indicator that shows only when a transcript is available for a given video: (highlighted with red arrows below and taken from the video in the Atlanta area at http://www.vidlisting.com/player/videopage.asp?vid=ghfgfdfd&t=v)

transcript support for real estate video (before)

If your visitor clicks the [+/-], the transcript will appear in the correct language as follows: (everything else on the page moves down)

real estate video image (after)

You can see the functionality in action yourself at http://www.vidlisting.com/player/videopage.asp?vid=ghfgfdfd&t=v .  We have a staff member going back and adding transcripts to previously posted real estate videos throughout the day.  Again, all new videos that vidlisting films, are uploaded to our system with transcripts, or have transcript support as part of their upload will have transcripts viewable after today.

We offer a very cost effective transcript generation service that for just a few dollars can transcribe narration from videos that are already narrated.

Cathy:  Thanks! It is really cool and helpful functionality that will help to drive trafic to your videos.  We'll also spend a bit of time cleaning up the formatting of our old transcripts. :)

We are adding some functionality to our beta video upload and conversion system that will let you add your own transcript to uploaded videos as part of the upload process and have it visible immediately with your converted video.

I'll post the link later today.

How much more will that add to SEO in addition to MetaTags, Descriptions, HeadLines, and Content?

Any quasi-analytical data?

Thanks.

C. KIM:  It will add the entire transcript content as part of the content for the player page.

chris:  you've posted an off topic comment again.  I assure you that I have received your emails and even looked at your website...this isnt the forum to be posting about things that dont have to do with video transcripts.

Thanks

Hi Tony,

Good post. I don't even know all the things you present, but it seems like it would promote videos well.
