11 Comments on GCWA to Host Annual Spring Roundup at Bethy Creek Resort
Sounds like a perfect annual event to attend, Joni. I hope you'll find some time.
Loreena: My camera and I will be dropping by all weekend to see what I can capture. I can walk to BCR from home.
Joni~That's pretty cool, I've never seen anything like that. I'm very curious what pulls them back and forth on the cable? I've never tried wakeboarding, but that looked like a lot of fun!
Have an AWESOME evening!
Michael: BCR has a wake lake where they teach beginners to wakeboard. The cable is above the wakeboarder. Once they learn how to get up (which can take many attempts) they will move to the lake and be pulled behind a boat. The GCWA has a mixture of newbies and old pros... I just wanted folks to see that there will be something to do for all levels of experience. And... for folks with, or without boats. Come on down, and I'll treat you to a lesson at the wake lake! ☺
Joni,
This sounds exciting! I'll be looking forward to more posts and pictures too!
I've never heard of a wakeboard and it sure sounds like a lot of fun.
Have a great time!
Patricia
I never heard of wakeboarding before either. I think it's very interesting that they use a cable for towing them around. You guys are very creative in your area for new fun things to watch.
Well this is an event we've never heard of so we will check back to see the great photos you are sure to take...sounds like fun!
Joni,
Looks and sounds like a fun event to attend and or participate in. Do you wakeboard?
I would have to be in the "beginner" class. Ummmmm wonder if they allow 70 year old's?
Good evening Joni.
It is a great event that all should attend.
Joni, now if I were younger I would try this wakeboarding.... look forward to some photos/video.
