A while back I posted about the New PetsMart in Alvin. Well I got word today that it will be officially open for business on May 14, 2012. I plan to be at the opening and see what goodies I can get for Dolly shown below. She is my moms doggie.

At the last Alvin-Manvel Chamber meeting it was announced that a PetsMart will be constructing a 1,100 square-foot building in the Highland Shopping Center on FM 1462. For those of you who don't know where Highland Shopping Center is, that is where Krogers is currently located in Alvin. This new commercial business will create new jobs for the Alvin area.

 

Recently there have been many new commercial construction projects in Alvin. This is exciting because commercial entities normally don't just construct anywhere. They take many things into consideration, number of roof tops, traffic counts, what is currently built in a city and is that business making money?

 

To have Pets Mart construct a new building is exciting for Alvin; it means Alvin is  growing. Most Pets Mart stores have a vet department for animal care. At this point this store will not have a vet. There will be an animal groomer.  I personally love to see pets in stores, even if it is not a pet store.

I thought maybe that was your little dog in the picture... he's cute!!!  I love having small dogs, they are so much easier to feed and pick up after, if you know what I mean.

Nope it's my moms dog Dolly. She came to her a very sick dog. Between my mom and the vet and several hundred dollars later she survived. The dog I got for my mom is Luna a Dachshund. She is my favorite.
