How long do you wait? The holidays are pretty much over and in TN most everyone celebrates xmas. The question is how long do you wait after the 25th to start calling your prospects? I have a client that contacted me two weeks ago and I have emailed them and spoke with them on the phone last week, now I want to call them back and say hey since your out for the holidays and you may have some extra time on your hands do you want to go look at a few houses. They want to get moved in by the first of Feb.

What do you think? How long do you wait until you start calling again?

A good Real Estate Agent will show you the house of your dreams; A great Real Estate Agent will make sure you move in.

You better wait til after the new years.  Party after party.  No I am just kidding.  Dont wait. I would stay in touch with your prospects through out the holidays but do not overwelm them.

You probably shouldn't wait, people will move on quickly if they don't think that you are thinking of them.

I agree that you want to call them right away, most people feel like you care about there needs by staying on top of it.

I would not wait.  At this point apoligize for the delay in calling them (blame the holiday) and touch base.  Tell them you want to get a jump on the New Year for them.

Thanks for the advice, after reading the comments I went ahead and called that prospect and they had not even looked at any of the listings I had sent them, but at least I feel like I have done my due dilligence.

Your client is likely waiting until the stress of the Holidays is over to resume the search, at least you are back in their mind.  It happens this time of year.  Follow up again in 2008!
