Join Us for Edmond OK’s Downtown Arts Festival! May 4 through 6th
The Downtown Edmond Business Association will host its 33rd Annual Downtown Edmond Arts Festival.
There will be 120 national artists showcasing their work from oil/acrylic, watercolor/pastels, pen and ink, caricature and photography, sculpture, blown glass and fine jewelry.
The 2012 Celebrity artist will be Don Henderson of Richardson, Texas. He is a long-time participant of Edmond’s Art Festival and will be displaying his beautiful Atrium Art inspired by his many travel around the world.
You won’t want to miss the Children’s Area which has grown with many extra fun hands on activities like crafts, face painting, pony rides, giant slide, moon walk and climbing rock wall and several surprise crafts to keep all the young and young at heart occupied!
What would be a festival without FOOD! 20 Masters of Cuisine will provide culinary delights all three days along with several of Oklahoma’s finest wineries.
Music will also fill the air with Music on the Plaza featuring outstanding performing artists like Edmond’s School Children’s choirs and choruses, Jazz Bands, and Show Bands.
Chalk the Walk will be only Saturday, May 5th from noon to 2 pm. Judging will be at 2 pm.
The Arts Festival Charity this year is Parents helping Parents, a non-profit organization who reach out to parents who believe their children may be using drugs and/or alcohol.
Though your pets are extremely cute, they will not be allowed to participate at the festival.
