Time To Say Goodbye!  Not Just Another Liz Spear Team of RE/MAX Elite Listing Sold!

Swing
Some homes sell so fast you hardly get to know your clients.  This wasn't one of those homes.  We've gotten to know Jackie and Jeff well during our efforts to sell their home.  If you drive State Route 48 near the Patricia Allyn Park, you've seen our sign for a long time.  Maybe you've even wondered are those agents EVER going to sell that home??  But we all knew from the start we were looking for a VERY small sliver of the buyer population.

We were fighting being on a major road, even with the large setback and the green space along the highway, some buyers worried about that.  Although that major road provided easy access to both Dayton and Cincinnati commutes, and sitting on the large back deck facing the woods you'd have never noticed the road on the other side of the property.

Other buyers have watched too many Zombie movies, so the historic cemetery next door scared them off.  Quietest neighbors you'll ever have, and for history buffs the cemetery is actually quite interesting.  BUT, we guess some buyers would rather have a garage band next door & the neighbors' dogs leaving "presents" on the lawn!

Others wanting a ranch home with no steps, and this wasn't it.  You had to walk up about a dozen steps to get to the full width covered patio that let you enjoy the seclusion and the view of the pond!

So we kept marketing, and showed the home many times ourselves.  We kept filling the flyer box, pushing the home on blog posts, kept refreshing the MLS listing to keep it in front of the buyers, answered many phone and email inquiries from our marketing efforts, and kept providing the best service we could to our sellers while working to find that perfect match for this special home!  And they rewarded us with their loyalty, and we're VERY appreciative of that loyalty!

Today that loyalty was rewarded!  The keys were handed to a young couple and their young son.  A family that loves the home as much as Jackie and Jeff!  Tears were shed and you'd have never known this was the first time the two families had met!  And the Mrs. left her favorite swing on the front porch and the young mother with these words of advice:  "When life is tough, go sit in the swing!  Life is good there, and you'll feel better soon!".

Thanks Jackie and Jeff for letting us be a part of your lives!  We wish you the best!

Tammy, It was definitely a good feeling to finally be able to get them what we've been working so hard for.  It will be very odd to not be visiting their home when we drive by.

Cindy, They always had faith in us, and we're happy to be able to reward that belief.

Judi, No doubt, not every home is easy.  While a lovely home, some special traits made it more challenging than most to sell.

Jane, It's the only way we know to operate.  Keep trying until we're successful, or the saller calls us off.

BLiz- how lucky Jackie and Jeff were to have you to represent their property.  And as they say... there's a buyer for every house.  Sometimes you have to wait for that right one.

Bliz.. glad to see that the clients didn't blame  you for the home not selling .. THe market is what it is, and even priced right doesn't alway sell quickly.. when cliets realize that it just takes time and they see you working hard the sale is sweet! Congratulations on this.

Kathy, We had quite a few that stated interest along the way, but they needed to sell their home first, and that just never seemed to happen.

Janis, We've found in general that if you're honest with your clients, keep them in full information about market conditions, and let them know what you're doing to help get the sale done, they can be patient.  Others unfortunately don't have that patience and they'll go through agent after agent looking for the "right one" without understanding the situation is more involved than just the agent.

Brenda, We've had some listings sell the first showing, others (like this one) take much longer than that.

Kathy, Thanks!  It was nice to reward their faith in us!

Carla, And this young couple REALLY loved the home!  The two Mrs. were both tearing up and hugging after closing, and they'd never met before.

Fred, We think the new owners will love the home, and the sellers can finally start their new life in Wisconsin without worrying about the sale of their home.

Dorie, I know I've enjoyed that swing a few times when waiting to hold a showing!  It's comfortable, and the view is tranquil :)

Tom, We do too!  Always nice to get the job done!

Conrad, No doubt!  No one borrowing a cup of sugar from there :)

Debbie, For the people that can look at the other side of the coin, every obstacle could have been a positive.  It was challenging to find someone who looked at the positive side of each of those "obstacles", so it was great to find someone that finally could.

Dale, We made a trip to Boston a few years ago.  Seeing some of the graveyards with the Revolutionary War heroes was one of the most interesting parts of the trip for me.
