Hi All;

    I just got word that HGTV is not renewing the show Fun Shui.  I am so bummed and disappointed by this decision for a few reasons.  For starters, this is one of the only Feng Shui shows on prime time.  I believe that it will do for feng shui practioner's the same thing shows like Decorating Cents did for Interior Redesign and Designed to Sell has done for Home Staging.  Secondly, it really is a great show.  The way Stephanie McWilliams truly inspired and helped those people to change their lives...I think television needs more positive shows like this instead of all of those trashy reality shows that clog the airwaves.  Lastly, I really have grown to know Stephanie.  I became a fan of the show and in doing so, thought she would make a wonderful guest for my radio show.  In planning out the interview, I got to spend lots of time speaking with her and each and every time walked away with a deeper understanding of feng shui and areas of my own life.  She is really that positive and intuitive.  She has established a relationship with all of the people who have appeared on the show and to me that says a lot about her as an individual.  She didn't have to care when the camera's stopped rolling, but her emotions were not easily cut off.  She keeps in touch with these individuals and continues to provide them encouragement and share in their positive life changes.  I know there are many more bigger and better things coming her way in the future and the HGTV opportunity was just an amazing unplanned event for her.  That being said however, I think the show has merit and a place on television and hope that others will feel the same way and take the time to comment about it to HGTVYou can email them at http://evolvingarts.com/hgtvfeedback  to leave a comment or you can phone 865-694-7879. If you are a fan of the show or a fan of feng shui and would just like to see it given a better opportunity...please take the few brief moments to comment using the above mentioned ways.  As for Stephanie...If you didn't catch her interview with me, I encourage you to visit the archived interview.  Go to www.radiosandysprings.com click on show schedules, click Friday and scroll down to the Diva in the House home page.  Stephanie's interview is dated Dec. 21.  Since we had such a wonderful time with the first interview, we have scheduled a part two which will air live Friday at 1p.m. eastern Jan. 4th.  We are calling it Stephanie the Sequel.  She is just that dynamic a personality that you can't possibly squeeze in all the wonderful things she wants to share in an hour on the radio.  We will have the ability to discuss in further detail things we can all be doing in our own homes and offices to impact our lives with positive energy and easy to follow FUN SHUI!

Thanks everyone for allowing me the opportunity to vent and also thanks to those of you who will hopefully take the time to visit the HGTV site and let them know you wish to see Fun Shui remain on the program list.

Wishing all of my new found friends on Active Rain a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

Cheers!

I also enjoyed the show and thought the results were always fabulous!   I will voice my opinion with HGTV.

Thanks Connie...I hope we get lots of people to voice an opinion.  There are so many tired shows that remain on HGTV that are no longer what they once were and truly appear as though they need to be put out of their misery.  I think a show like Fun Shui should at least be given one more season.  It is not only great design, it really has impacted people's lives in a positive and empowering way.

I'm sad to hear that.  It seems like HGTV has replaced a lot of their design shows with real estate shows (they almost need to change their name to RETV instead!).  I've watched Fun Shui a couple of times and I liked because it was different from what they usually have on.  I like the real estate related shows, but they need to have a better mix--it's just too much of the same old thing.

Dear Kym and Michelle:  I thank you both for your responses and hoped in my own little way to generate enough publicity that we could possibily SOS...( Save our Stephanie )...I love her show not only for the fact that it is the first feng shui show on tv...but the fact that it's a truly feel good " reality " show of how people's lives can be changed in to positive, empowering ones.  I'm so tired of seeing shows that give coverage to rude and crude people who aren't looking to enrich their lives or any one else's for that matter.  It's refreshing to find any show now a days where you don't have to keep your hand on the mute button!

Cheers!
