I joined CENTURY 21 Sundance Realty August of 2005, our Real Estate Sales for our 3 offices were $118 million + estimating 60 Florida Licensed Real Estate Professionals.

I don't think we had one that was not a multi-million dollar producer.

Just a few days ago the Volusia/Flagler Business Report came out with their 2008 Book of Lists. As I skimmed through the magazine..looking for Real Estate...anything real estate...I came across the Residential Real Estate Firms ranked by residential sales within Volusia and/or Flagler Counties in 2006.

Imagine that CENTURY 21's 3 Award Winning Offices were ranked #5 leading in residential real estate purchases Volusia/Flagler Business Report closing $108,635,985 in 2006. Funny thing according to the we have 38 Active Real Estate Professionals...that means 10 million less than 2005 with fewer agents.

But wait there is more...see out of the 38 agents....3 are non-competing managers...2 are property manager's, who focus on rentals and property management. while they do occasional list a property. OK, that means 33 agents, 33 actively selling agents.

A Ten Million Dollar Difference....Ooooooh we felt it! and we prepared..bracing ourselves to be armed and dangerous in 2007 by sharpening our skills, a strong on-line presence....prospecting...implementing new and useful tools..getting rid of the waste...and a strong corporate brand. As we continued to lose agents...we again prepared...prepared for the same and more...

In my mind 2008 started the day after Christmas, that's right, I am one of those people Christmas is one day and so is New Years....I couldn't wait to get the party started...in my office I wasn't alone...it's starting...it's here...I know that 2008 is going to be great...right now...more activity...more showings and more contracts...taller postures..more smiles...that's right media you are wrong!    The 2008 Party has started...

Maybe you may not have the same mindset, that's OK...that is why I love this business but I would like to make a suggestion...

As 2008 quickly approaches I urge you to take a look at your systems, make adjustments now rather than wait. Really take a look at your mistakes....ahhh c'mon we all made them...now is the time to admit to them...now is the time to change them...It's now not later!

One of my all time favorite thoughts...."What you do in the next 30 days will have an impact on your next 90." So what are you doing so different this year to make yourself stand out? What are you doing to be better than last year? Are you improving...or are you expecting to do the same thing over and over and get disappointed with the same results?

Not sure where we will end up on the 2009 Book of Lists. Honestly, I didn't even know this list existed...its a shame I do now..Yup...these things drive me....I am so darned competitive and so loud. You can bet I will share this information with anyone who will listen..Happy New Year Activerain...ain't it great!..

I love being the Daytona Real Estate Trainer....

Midori,  Your post is so upbeat and positive....it's VERY motivating !!  I agree, 2008 started right after Christmas day.

I'm making a number of changes this year...more contacting of past clients, more marketing, more organization and definitely more innovation.

It sounds like you're working in a very happening place...they're sooo lucky to have you.
