Home Purchase and Inspections

We strongly advise all the buyers we work with to obtain a Whole House

Inspection and Pest Inspection.  This will familiarize you with the property. 

Cottage or castle, old or new, you should have a home inspection.  The bank,

prior to closing may require other inspections such as a well/septic inspection

(if applicable) that will be at your expense. 

MAJOR problems are found with the whole house inspection (those that are

safety or health concerns or items noted that can have an adverse affect on the

property) can be addressed in an addendum to the purchase agreement within

6 days of having the inspection completed.  The cost of the inspection runs from

$250-$350 (depending on the inspection type and size of house).  The pest inspection

typically costs approximately $60-$65.
