Aw - no photo of the car with the statue? I'm sure I can Google it. Interesting story. I expect the sculptor may rise to the challenge if given a deadline of August.
I saw a documentary or movie where this was displayed signaling the end of the war....It is a potent statement and is appropriate as a contrast...the opposite of war or killing.....a couple of people sharing a moment of intimacy

Cars sure find a lot of stuff to run into or should I say, drives. I wonder why they made that statue as tall as it is?

My fingers are crossed that the statue is back for the Anniversary...and I hope the driver of the car was not seriously injured!
She wasn't Lisa. Apparently the 62 year old woman had gotten some kind of injection that she had a bad reaction to. The result was a pain in the foot to the sailor.
