First, I want to thank everyone who has been in touch the last few weeks, either asking where I've been or just offering holiday wishes (thanks so much for the card, Cindy!)

So, to put everyone at ease (geez, its flattering that you guys were so concerned) I thought I would fill you in on what I've been up to.

This season has been very slow for me business wise - as I know it has been for most of you as well - and I have taken advantage of the slow down to make some exciting changes in my business and to spend some quality time with my family.  (My husband is currently on vacation and will be until Jan 2, so we have been doing a lot of fun things with the kids and still have more fun planned.)

As far as the business is concerned:

1. I have restructured my fee schedule to reflect the current market and have created an exciting new package for my partner Realtors and Builders.  I have released some of it, but more is on the way.

2. I have evaluated all of my past marketing efforts to create even more effective marketing in the new year.

3. I published a new website (today as a matter of fact) Check it out - www.detailsstagingandredesign.com

4. I republished my outside blog with a new look - http://stagingblog.detailsstagingandredesign.com/
The new look has earned me a few more reciprocal links, which I am very proud of!

5. I have reorganized my inventory storage and am working on getting my records in order for the insurance company.

I still have a lot yet to do in order to be fully prepared for the new year - accounting and all that - but I am excited about the progress I have made so far.  I had so many projects and personal commitments to juggle that my time in the rain was greatly decreased, but I promise I have been stopping in regularly and keeping up with all of you!

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season. Thanks so much for checking in on me - It makes me feel very blessed to have so many staging - and other - friends across the country that look forward to my posts and comments enough to notice when I am not doing either one.  And I will stop here before I start crying...

Nice to see you again!  Now that you are back I still have to wonder where Craig is.... have you seen him on your self journey?

Your website looks very good.... I like the stock free logo, where did you get it?

Kimberly, Welcome back. Glad you have been enjoying this time with family and biz plans.

Looking forward to an exciting 2008!

James - I wish you the same.  Thanks for keeping up with me!

Melissa - Thanks for the comment on my website - I appreciate any feedback, good or bad.  I emailed with Craig just yesterday.  He is doing well - hopefully we will all be hearing from him soon!  The stock free photo logo is available to everyone right here in the rain.  I believe it is the brain child of Julianna Hind.

Leslie - I am excited for the first time in a long time.  I can't wait to get back in the thick of it.

Well little missy - you were sorely missed.  Glad to hear that you're okay and doing well.  It sounds like you've been spending your time wisely.

As for your web site - I love it!  It looks fantastic.  I especially like the earth tone colors as it's very calming.

FYI - the link to the blog isn't working (I tried twice).  Can't wait to see it!

Kimberly ~ Well you certainly have been busy!  Getting everything in place for the New Year - I wish I had the time and the energy!  Most importantly you are getting to spend some valuable quality time with your family - enjoy it and don't work too hard!

12/29/2007 06:15 PM by Kathy Passarette, L.I. Staging/Decorating (Creative Home Expressions)

Kathy N- Thanks!  I do like the neutral color scheme myself - We try to push that as stagers, so I thought I would use it to my benefit as well.  Try the blog link again - I think I fixed it.

Kathy P- I actually wish I were able to spend more time on the business, but with the whole family home I'm really trying to make the most of it.  I want to hit the ground running as soon as everyone returns to the norm, but if I have to take a few days to tie up loose ends it will be worth it.  If I had more time and energy, I would have gotten a lot more done!  :)

Kimberly, time well spent.  I as well have worked on some of the things that have needed attention, but have gone lacking.  It sounds like your time spent was more exciting than mine though )-:  Congratulations on starting the new year with a bang!

Kimberly, Linda and I were talking just the other day that we had not seen a sign of you in a while.  Sounds like your doing well setting yourself up for next year.  I just have a gut feeling (that happens to me occasionally) that 2008 will be a really good year for you.  I reaaaaaaly like the new web site.

Wow Kimberly, you have been busy!  Love the feel of your website.. I am in the market for a new hosting site actually, mine is too hard to work on. I wish you the absolute best for 2008 my friend.

BTW...Like Melissa, I've been wondering where Craig is too! I'm conserned but don't want to bother him...silly I guess.

Terry - Thanks!  Get on the horse girl, and get it done!

Gary - Thanks for noticing my absence - and I hope you are right.  I could use a good year.  I'm glad you like the website.  I never did love the last one, but I think I will be sticking with this one a while.

Lori Kim - I have been using GoDaddy for some time now and love the flexibility and ease of use.  You have 24/7 access and the ability to change anything on a whim with unlimited customization based on your knowledge and abilities.  I have found other sites to be limiting, but if you know a little you can do a lot with this site and it's not that expensive.  If you switch and need some help let me know!

Dane - Lists are only good if you start crossing things off of them. :)

Dane and Melissa - According to Craig, he is 'fat and happy' and back from an extended break.  He's fine, really!

12/30/2007 09:39 PM by Kimberly Wester - NW Indiana Stager (Details Staging and Redesign)

Kimberly - fat and happy is a good place to be!  I'll rest assured then....

Most of my family has gone out to a hockey game tonight so I'll hopefully have some time to write my list before new years!  (if not, then I guess that will be my job tomorrow... )

Have a great one!

Terrylynn- Get out that pen and paper!  Tomorrow is the first of of your best year yet!

Melissa - Feel free to email him.  I'm sure he would like to hear from you. I bet your list will be short and sweet, since you are so efficient already!

Kimberly: Congratulations on your new site. It looks great and should drive a lot of business to your door. I hope you have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
