On Monday, December 10, the West Windsor Council passed a resolution setting a revised plan into place for the redevelopment of the 350-acre site surrounding the Princeton Junction Train Station in West Windsor. The project has been in flux for several months because members of the Council and Planning Board have been in disagreement over many elements of the project, particularly its size and scope.

The latest document calls for more evaluation and study of the more controversial components of the plan. This includes an evaluation of parking and road infrastructure assuming the construction of 500 residential units, examination of the construction of a hotel-conference complex, a multi-purpose cultural complex, and definitions of possible fiscal requirements for controversial points of the document. Many of the council members are in favor of a much smaller development with the proposed components.

The Council hopes to keep the momentum going on the project with a vote on the timeline at an upcoming meeting.
