As a Realtor, I sometimes get excited, maybe too excited, when an offer comes in on one of my listings or when a Buyer I'm working with decides it's time to write an offer on a home.  I think, "Wooo! Whooooo!  Now the fun stuff starts." I also think, "Hey, I may actually see some money!"

Now, I know I'm only supposed to be in this business to help other people and the money part is just, you know, nice. But I do like to see a couple of dollars added to my bank account so I can pay the mortgage and the utilities and the [fill in the blank].  So I do feel a little of the adrenaline rush when I think something is about to happen.

What does this have to do with Paying to Blog?

Well, I'm at Day 33 since RSS Pieces took my credit card number and used it.  Hey, I said they could. I've talked to a few different people, including John McKnight (thanks, John), and I really had this feeling that things were going to happen. I was excited. Then.....ZZzzzzzzzzz.

Now, I know it's Christmas and New Year's and all that. Am I being overly sensitive? Too excited?

Should I just chill until, say, January 15th to allow enough time and space to get things really, really right.

I just hope they don't start charging me their monthly hosting fee.

Stay tuned for Episode 8.

There are too many scammers out there.  Be careful!

Plug into some of these tech organizations here on AR.  It's free and you can learn how to do it yourself.

Contact your VISA and have the charge cancelled.

My experience with the same vendor was the same.  $1,000 paid, nothing received in over a month and then no return phone messages and no return e-mail.

Cancel, cance.

Hi Ken, I'm surprised to read about the problems you're having with RSS Pieces. A few other realtors here on AR are using them and comment on a regular basis on Mary's blog on RSS. Let me know what happens. I hope it works out for the best.

You are saving me money!  I know for sure I won't work with them...  Now why do you want a new blog when the one you have is actually quite nice looking?

Mirela -- Don't I know it!

Lenn -- Thanks!  That means a lot coming from you.

Marti - I've heard from other satisfied customers in my other posts about this and they have a nice portfolio on their website. It's just kind of weird that they move in fits and starts with me.

Adele - I hope it works out, too!

Josette - Thanks for the compliment.  The primary reason is the lure of good SEO.  My two TypePad blogs (MdSuburbanHomes and AtHomeInCollegePark) don't seem to be getting any readership. It seems that there are two schools of thought - one says the only way to get readership is to pay for it through something like AdWords (PPC) or just to keep at it with adding new content day after day until the search engines find you, the other school says vendors and/or techies can boost you in the "natural" search terms "for free" through various tools, keyword content, etc. I'm just too new to this to know. :-(
