We had a detour in our schedule today.
A stop to the tire dealer had become a necessity. When your tires go bald while you are not paying attention it presents a very real and present danger.
We had a full day planned and lots of miles to cover when we realized that the back tires were almost slick as a peach.
The erosion of the treads has been happening gradually but we have not made a practice of checking on their condition. We took their continued good condition for granted.
Just another illustration of how so many things do require our attention on a daily basis.
We tend to practice the old adage of "if it ain't broken, don't fix it.". Not a practical practice.
This is about the same as failing to stay in touch with our past clients and them being surprised when they buy or sell through someone else. Our service may have been terrific in the beginning but if not maintained, it can get very thin or even result in a "blowout" of the relationship.
In our business , communication is just like when the rubber hits the road. Don't forget to maintain contact. Everything may be riding on it!
