Tonight at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, NJ the undefeated 15-0 Patriots come to town to visit my 10-5 Giants. History could be made tonight as no team in NFL history has finished a regular seaon 16-0. Could this be a preview of the Super Bowl? I sure hope so, as a Giants fan, these teams have a rich history together. Going back to Bill Parcells, all the former Giants who seemed to end up on the Patriots as well as former Giants coach Bill Belichick. Regardless, we are heading over to our friends house to watch the game in High Definition. This will be the last party at their home because we sold it and it will be closing in another week. Here in New Jersey, we believe that the football season isn't over until all the games are played. So, until my team is eliminated from the playoffs, we have just as good a chance of playing the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Anybody else think their team has a chance?

Sal, get real!!!! There is no bigger Giants fan than me, but the Giants have no shot at the Super Bowl this year (or anytime soon with Manning at QB). But I'll still be there rooting hoping against hope. I'll be happy if they make it out of tonight with no major injuries and keep the game close.

Enjoy!

Hi Jim,

Stranger things have happened. Wild card teams have won the Super Bowl. I agree about making it out of tonight's game, but wouldn't it be nice to end the undefeated streak. People remember the team that stops streaks. Do you remember who broke up the '85 Bears undefeated streak on Monday Night Football? They finished that regular season 15-1.

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm going to guess the Dolphins. I think I heard that on WFAN at some point this week.

Don't get me wrong, No one would be happier (well ok, maybe you) if the Giants went all the way. But I don't think they have enough talent this year. They're a good team, but not great and very inconsistent. Eli scares me too. I was at the Vikings game a few weeks ago and that was the single worst game I've ever witnessed a QB have. That being said, I'm still rooting for my team -GO GIANTS!!!!!!

I have been a Dallas fan since I was knee high to a gopher! Even when they all went to rehab and could not play their way out of a paper bag! We are doing just fine this year! Looking forward to tomorrows game! We willbe in the SuperBowl is my prediction!

Look out Favre and Greenbay!

Jim,

You are right. The irony that the team that owned the undefeated season, knocked out the Bears. I remember Super Bowl XXV where the Bills had more talent, the Giants were 7 point underdogs, but nobody told my main man Ottis that they were supposed to lose. Let's not forget Scott Norwood. That is why the playoffs are so great.

Vanessa,

Knee high to a gopher! I love it. It would seem that Dallas should get there. Any given Sunday anything can happen.

Probably the best game the Giants played all year. I haven't seen that much heart, effort, enthusiasm and solid play from every squad in any other single game this year. And Manning rose to the occasion and played well too, except for the one interception which was the turning point. But even though it was a loss, the momentum from that game should carry into the playoffs. But if I had to bet, I'd say Vanessa's Cowboys and the Pats are in THE SHOW!

Hi Jim,

How a couple of weeks makes all the difference. Pats are still around, but the Boys have said farewell. Check out my blog on the Giants beating the Cowboys.
