Wow! What a winter! Phones are hummin’. Birds are chirpin’ Buyers are buyin’ Has anyone else experience a real estate surge like I have in Michigan? Seems like the very mild winter (thus far) has created an early spring market. :) Buyers, who have waited to buy, may be kicking themselves for waiting for lower prices. Better hurry!
The irony of waiting is that the price may be a little lower, but the interest rate may be a little higher as well! That makes it balance out in the end. There does seem to be a renewed interest in real estate this year. Maybe the fearful ones have realized the market is not going to crash and now feel more comfortable to buy.
Local agents I work with are seeing a lot more interest in vacant land. Normally come snowfall land sales die. Everyone waits to see what's under the snow. This year, with no snow, sales have kept going. Plenty of people planning on building in the spring.
