Is like touring Africa with a guide you bring on your own. . just because you know the person.
Hi Sally & David. On the job training with a short sale is a terrible idea.
Sally and David, your post is why I refer all Short Sales to those who have been trained and have experience in the process. Great post!
Good morning Sally and David,
Amen to David's comment. I always refer Short Sales to those who have been trained and have experience in the process! You are right a seller is placing their financial future in the agents hand and the agent better be experienced and be more than qualified! Excellent post!
Morning I've only done one and it went so smooth I don't see what all the hubbub is about. I haven't and won't do one that is under one of the big three. I've got enough headaches.
Just like no two transactions are alike...short sales are less alike...if you have "only done one" you cannot begin to understand the many twists and turns that may not be evident at the onset...and without experience, can be very big obstacles to accomplishing a smooth closing.
Around here the phrase is that short sales are the best and worst thing about the market! And the agents are responding in kind - some will take them, but some won't!
Good morning, Sally and David..... those who are homeowners of homes that will be sold with a short sale would be wise to call you to give them guidance with that sale..... you have expertise.
OH don't you just love how everyone has a friend in real estate LOL? Good advice as always from the Hansons!!
Sally,
Having experience is a must when dealing with short sales. There is SO much to know, so many variables, it requires so much time that even if inexperienced agent means well, it is very difficult for them to get consistent good results. The lenders are getting more attentive which requires more skill.
They have not written..."Short Sales For Idiots" yet...have they ?
