Marco, I have to agree, but that name has been in place for many years!
Dan, to support our homeless pets is very important!
Kristine, it is wonderful that all monies raised with go to the care of pets at the DFL!
Roy, I too hope it is well attended - and it is very popular!
Joan, These are so much fun and the contest we enjoy the most is the Pet/Owner Look-a-likes...they are hilarious!
Joan: These kinds of events are so important to provide pet information and pet products to educate and help pet owners care for their furry friends!
Joan: A very worthy cause and fundraiser that I hope raises way more funds than is expected.
Great pet cause & i buy the cards our pet shelter has a cartoonist does every year on the pets...crazy name for a pet shelter for sure but it must get people's attention Joan!
Hope this turns out to be a fantastic event and brings in a lot of money!
I loved the name of this function. I am sure it will bring in lots of money. Kudos to you for featuring it!
Hi Joan,
That's a lot of "furry friends to need a home".
But they have you and others looking out for them.
Good job doing what you do. I hope they raised enough to keep helping for a long time.
Have a great day today in Denver.
Best, Clint McKie
What a neat event. With that many booths, surely they'll raise a lot of $$ for this worthwhile charity. Great post!
Joan, a great event and fundraiser... my dog Zeke would definitely win the prize for best tail wagger. I remember we had guests over for dinner/drinks. We were having wine before dinner and my friend had put her drink on the coffee table.... Zeke was outside and we let him in as they wanted to visit with him... Zeke was being petted and wagging his tail so hard... he knocked over the glass of wine. :)
Joan, I would absolutely LOVE to see the entries for the Pet/Person Look-Alike contest...those are always so fun to look at! :)

Sounds like a great event and great cause, Joan, but I have to say that a lot of these "dumb" friends are pretty darn smart, if you ask me :)
Would there be refreshment for us or the furry friends? :-) Hope you had a great weekend.
Wish I were close enough to attend. I'm a sucker for any event benefitting shelter dogs (have I mentioned we have four rescued dogs, ourselves?). Thanks for promoting such a worthy event. I agree with William... I don't like the name of the "Dumb Friends League" as my pups are smarter than a lot of people I know!
The Furry Scurry is the biggest fundraiser for the Dumb Friends League, and VERY well attended. It is lots of fun around Wash Park, and the dogs all love it!
This is a much larger version of our Strut Your Mutt, but then again we are very rural. There are less than 32 thousand people in Delta, County. I hope the event raises a lot of money. It sounds like The Dumb Friends League could really use the money.
Debbie, I was thinking that when I saw your post! As long as the funds raised go to the homeless pets, they can call it whatever!
Joan, I am a true dog lover (other animals, too). Hopefully the dollars will be raised! Thanks for sharing.
