I support CReATE
I am a happy client of CReATE (Citizens REutilizing Assistive Technology Equipment).
You might say I am rather hard on mobile chairs. Being a "Realtor on the Move" in Sandy UT, I have been utilizing my chair for up to 18 hours a day ~ my van, my chair and my traveling office (bag at the front) allow me to go, go, GO.
My activity is my choice, my nature. Without my chair, there would be a serious shortfall. In reality I probably need two chairs to cover my day, allowing proper recharging, maintenance etc. My re-built chair is sturdy and very comfortable.
CReATE is part of UATP (Utah Assistive Technology Program), an initiative of Utah State University. My heroes, Zachary (the "creator" of my chair) and Fay are to be found in Salt Lake City at the Judy Ann Buffmire Building at the Redwood Road end (1595 W) of 500 South, Tuesday to Thursday. (Tel 801 887 9398).
CReATE looks for donations of equipment, funds, and clients. If you would like further rave comments (lots of good things still to say) on the organization and its activities, please call me. Tel 801 824 3276.
Who do you know who would benefit from the services of CReATE?
