We could have the earliest end to a legislative session in Minnesota history. The legislators are working toward early adjournment, leaving many scratching their heads. There are a lot of Republicans who are divided about when to end the sessions. Some want to get the stadium bill passed, leaving other more urgent issues to the side according to their own caucus.

They probably feel as if they have had enough. And, I agree. Capitol insiders envision a burst of last-minute deal-making if legislative leaders get behind the plan that already has the firm backing of DFL Gov. Mark Dayton.
But with all 201 legislative seats up for re-election, the thirst to broker a complex deal may lose out to a growing itch to flee the Capitol and hit the campaign trail.
And, they are still trying to pass a stadium bill.
