Bill Sinkin is the founder of Solar San Antonio and is a local celebrity in the San Antonio green world.  Recently I attended an open house and presentation for our first Certified Level 3  Green Home in a historic district - which includes being net zero solar.

I had the honor of being introducted to Mr. Sinkin himself. Almost as honoring was the introduction that Anita Ledbetter Devora, Build San Antonio Green Executive Director.  "Mr. Sinkin - This is Cathy Bureau, the founder of GREEN Home Realty. She's one of our partners and an advocate for green building here. We need people like her to get the word out about our programs and be able to explain things to people in laymens terms."  Mr. Sinkin replied, "Oh, yes, where did you find this marvelous young lady? Be sure to invite her to everything."   He was such a sweet man and it was just such an honor.

2012 Solar Fest has been moved to October 6th!

This year we have decided to try something new! We are going to combine Solar Fest with Solar Tour and have a weekend of fun. This year Solar Fest will be held on Saturday, October 6, and Solar Tour will be held on Sunday October 7th.
