Some people have no clue as to the value of water and they waste it without concern. In many regions this is simply unacceptable and as our population swells to 420 million by 2020 we will need to solve this issue. Many rural areas are not able to keep up with growing demand. We still see people everywhere wasting water and it simply makes no sense and takes no intelligence to waste this resource; we need it.

Recently some National Water Experts and a group of scientists at the University of Arizona published a research report to show just how serious this issue was. We need to cut down our water usage per person by 20% right now today, across this nation. And another 10% over the next ten years after that including the growth and that means we all need to get busy and start saving water and make it a national habit of conservation and break our addition to water wasting.

droughts suck

The research project noted that water conservation campaigns need to change their marketing strategies and public relations tactics to win the minds of the people. I could not agree more and we could certainly use a little extra help from the Mass Media in our nations water conservation efforts. So please consider all this and contemplate in 2008 or I will have to design a plan myself!
