Poseidon: Flirtworthy Guy!

By
Real Estate Agent with RLAH@properties AB95346

Check out those six-pack abs!  I mean, is this guy a god or what?

Actually, this is a statue of Poseidon, the Greek god of the seas.  He even has his little turtle buddy with him.  This statue sits with the Atlantic Ocean behind him on the boardwaslk at Virginia Beach.  I liked the gray statue against the gray sky.  It stopped raining just long enough to get out my I-Phone and grab a shot.

Yesterday, Dick and I had the urge for she crab soup and headed south.  It was amazingly delicious!  Worth the drive.

It looks like it was a worthwhile trip. I have been a lot of places, but never here. I'll have to add this to my list.

Are they having the evening performances yet just behind where you are standing?  We see Poseidon every year, and then enjoy the show.

Tammie, I hadn't been there in over 20 years! It had changed so much!

Jay, don't think there were any outdoor concerts Saturday night!  The flute players would really have wet their whistles!

And Kathryn, what happened down there?  It used to be so funky, and now it is so beachfront condos!  Not sure which one I like better!

Ha!  Now that Poseidon really looks like he was into working out, for sure!  Love the statue and all the little critters around him.  I have a question ... what is "she crab soup?"  I'm from the Midwest ... sorry :)

Carie, not sure of the exact recipe,  but it's made from girl crabs and it's very crabby and creamy.

Patricia - we missed Virginia Beach when we were in the area, if there is any other art like this, we will have to try to add it to our next trip.

Hi Pat, This is a terrific photo Pat and since you like the iPhone camera, you should see the lens add on that you can use. Wide angle and telephoto. I will get the source. I was supposed to write a post on this and I just haven't done it as yet. :-)

Hi Patricia.  It has been raining here most of the morning.  It just stopped about an hour ago.  I thought I remember seeing that someone before until you said it was Virginia Beach.  I could use some fun in the sun.

That is a pretty cool statue. What I like about the iphone photos is that you dont need special light. If you are outside, the camera is pretty darn good (as long as you dont zoom in too closely).

I love walking next to the ocean and having a one on one with this guy! People aren't around, so I can talk my head off without the little men in white coats coming.....................

That is quite a drive for crab soup. I'm jealous that you obviously took an entire day off.
