I have this recurring nightmare .......... actually, some nights it's more of a dream, other nights it is most definitely a nightmare. It all depends on the outcome.
Phil Faranda and I are thrown on stage together and asked to go head to head in a battle of wits over blogging. He is academically practical and precise, giving all kinds of actual examples of posts he has written that have lead to closed transactions. I wax philosophical about the collective experience of thousands of ActiveRain members and prod him with slides showing Google analytics data. He immediately fires back with a slide showing a huge commission check, followed by 10 similar slides, only the commission number changing. With each commission check, I can sense him trying to rub it in just a little bit more.
"With this one, we went on vacation.......with this one little Jenny has a great little college fund.......with this one I put the down payment on my new Benz......with this one I bought ActiveRain and now I'm your boss"
Feeling a little bit outmatched, because I know money talks, I make some smart ass remark about the size of his bank account in comparison to other measurable things, as I try to impose my physical presence over him........it's at this point, every night, the dream goes one of two ways. In the nightmare, Phil doesn't take kindly to my short joke and throttles me with no mercy shown (repeated crane kicks, all the while mocking "who's short now? crane kick to the face!").
In the dream he shows an 11th slide with an even larger commission check on it. "And because you were such an inspiration, I'd like to give you, Bob, this commission check" (and this is when I wake up)
Needless to say, I refuse to share a stage with Phil. But I'm not scared of a little webinar.

Instead of just glancing over things and giving you a high level view of a few different things, they take one subject and break it down. That's what we'll be doing with real estate blogging on Thursday.
