Getting out of my comfort zone Part 2 ~ ActiveRain Meet-up with Maryland AR Rockstars!

Getting out of my comfort zone ~ ActiveRain Meet-upI was invited to an ActiveRain meet up by a dear AR friend Bridget McGee. If you haven’t met Bridget, especially if you are in Central Maryland, you really should make it a point to met her. She’s kind, outgoing and a fantastic mortgage resource. Bridget mentioned a few of the rainers who would be there, I felt a little intimidated. Margaret Rome, was actually hosting it Martha Brown, Rich Iarossi, Margaret Woda were among the people expected to attend. These are people I admire on AR, they are wonderful bloggers and real estate agents.

“AR Rockstars!”The phenomena was mentioned at raincamp I attended. I laughed at myself quietly from my seat in the audience as Bob Stewart tried to encourage us to talk to those we admire and learn from them & share with them. I saw some really interesting bloggers who I couldn’t bring myself to strike up a conversation with. I don’t recall how many activerainers attended the raincamps (Philly & Atlantic City) suffice it to say there were a lot!

At a meet-up there was no sitting quietly in the audience taking it all in. There were about 15 of us at G & M’s in Linthicum Heights, Maryland talking, sharing ideas, eating and of course taking pictures, lots of pictures. Bridget did the introductions and I had an opportunity to speak with Margaret Rome, Martha Brown, Rich Iarossi, Margaret Woda and a few others. It was a wonderful experience I am so glad I went. Everyone I spoke with was warm, welcoming and offering to help and share in anyway I may need. The only thing better than talking with rainers on AR is having lunch together face to face!

Diane I'm sure they were very happy you were a part of the meetup!!!  Is there a better place to get out of our comfort zones?  Everyone in the  rain is so helpful......good for you for getting out on the edge and going!!
