British Columbia is Now 150 Years Old in 2008.
It has been 150 years since the founding of the Crown Colony of British Columbia and the same for the China Town in Victoria BC (Canada's oldest China Town, only San Francisco's China Town is older). Other Land marks in Victoria are such as Hatley Castle, built by the coal baron James Dunsmuir and the World Famous Empress Hotel, designed by Francis Rattenbury and now called the Fairmont Empress.
